In this study, the effect of nanofluid utilization on a solar hot water collector’s thermal performance in Şırnak climatic conditions will be determined. The flat plate type collector will be used in the system to generate heat energy from solar energy. The useful heat generated by the collector will be transferred to a heat storage tank without mixing with the water. The GO/water nanofluid will be employed in the collector as the main heat transfer fluid with different mass flow rates and volumetric concentration rates. The effect of the GO/water utilization instead of the water on the first and second law collector thermal performance will be analyzed with all-day-long experiments conducted for different days and various ambient conditions. Also, the temperature variation of the water in the heat storage tank will be examined throughout the day, and the final temperature it will reach at the end of the day will be noted. Moreover, the model identification of the thermal system will be carried out with the constructed and trained artificial intelligence algorithms, and potential performance enhancement studies will be made.
